Type 69-IIG
In 1989 Bangladesh ordered several hundred Type 69-IIM tanks from China and later on, with the support of China, the modernisation began. The main differences of this model in comparison with a regular Type 69 are a more powerful main gun, installed ERA armor on the turret and also an upgraded fire control system. The tank is equipped with a modified version of a soviet V-54 engine - a four-stroke water-cooled diesel engine, which allows the tank to reach a maximum speed up to 50 km/h. The main armament of Type 69-IIG is a chinese modification of a 105 mm L7 gun with a two-point stabilizer, the ammunition includes HEATFS and HESH shells and APFSDS with an armor penetration of up to 306 mm. Additionally, the tank is armed with one 7.62 mm gun and one 12.7 mm machine gun and a smoke screen device.
