Core Features at Alpha Launch

Always-On PvP: PvP is central and always active, making PvP the primary gameplay focus. New player support systems are being developed, but PvP remains the priority.

Inventory Looting: You do not currently drop any equipped items on death.When you die. In 99% of combat encounters you will drop your inventory on death.

Base Building: Players can establish and customize their bases, offering strategic depth in PvP encounters and contributing to the game’s player-driven economy.

Crafting System: A robust system with 12 professions, designed around player effort with a rewarding layer of unpredictability. Professions include blacksmithing, alchemy, and future expansions like fishing, which will receive the same level of care and detail as other systems. It comes with a layout and progression path that helps the early game while providing diversity and end game for a robust economy for when our City Building drops.

Tutorial: We disabled our early tutorial due to the speed at which we were evolving. When we bring it back, we want it to be learning and not a job on day one. For now, you need to figure it out!

New Encounters: Introduction of Veil Fissures, Lures, and additional PvE events to expand the game’s adventure elements.

Glyphs, Runes, and Soul System

Integration: These systems will allow for advanced character customization, giving players powerful options to shape their abilities and playstyles.

This system also introduces something along the lines of a prestige system where you will have a roguelike element that redefines your stance everytime you reset your soul. Yes this means relevelling - but in a good way where you get stronger each time. Levelling is meant to be medium paced and will get faster as you progress your Paragon path. Paragon never resets (except at wipes during early phases).

Building Stability: This will fill in gaps of some missing pieces and add a new layer to the system. This will discourage spamming and honeycombing - but enable glorious castles to be built.

City Building Mechanics

Player-Built Cities: Players will have the tools to establish and govern cities, adding layers of social and strategic gameplay.

Many games have promised these and well, we have them. Along with cities will come the capability to hire mercenaries, place bounties, request resources from local and foreign regions, sell items, and more to be unveiled as we get closer to this feature.

Features: Includes mounts, limited fast travel, and a road system integral to PvP, PvE, and the in-game economy. This system will also include a modular wagon system that will allow players to build wagons for transport, efficiency, and yes - war. They will play an important role in other features such as our wars and sieges.

Siege Warfare Mechanics

Controlled PvP: Siege warfare will emphasize balanced gameplay, preventing zerg tactics while enabling large guilds to thrive in competitive environments.

This will also include ways to conquer cities through PvE such as farming or encounters.

We saved this due to the nature of our combat and balance. We also need to maintain a combo feel to all classes and had to really put some thought into how to implement these before we started announcing them.
