Take charge of the hardest-working locomotives in Britain today; experience unique Unit Drag services, hauling EMUs to and from refurbishment, thrashing throughout the Medway Towns and beyond with Train Sim World 3: Rail Operations Group BR Class 37/7!
Known to many as the Tractor, the BR Class 37 is a living legend and mainline stalwart that dates back to the earliest days of mass dieselisation. Built by their hundreds, there won’t have been many enthusiasts, staff members or commuters who have not seen a 37 in their lifetime. From coast to coast, decade by decade, the 37 still reigns.
But how are 60-year-old locomotives still working the mainline? Enter, Rail Operations Group! There are many aspects to the rail industry, one of which is the movement of stock which cannot necessarily be moved under its own power, this is where “ROG” operate, and the Class 37’s unmatched reliability and versatility makes it a perfect candidate for such tasks.
Hooked up with bespoke equipment, and an adaptive Dellner coupler (eliminating the need for translator wagons), the ROG Class 37 played a fundamental role in the movement of Class 375 Electrostars during the SERefurb program. Now, in Train Sim World 3, re-kindle the days of weekly thrash through the Medway Towns, dragging out of service Class 375s sporting their older White livery.
