Named after Rudolf Franz Karl Josef, the Crown Prince of Austria, the original ‘Rudolf Railway’ opened in 1868. In Train Simulator Classic you can drive the Bruck an der Mur to Selzthal and Knittelfeld section of this line as it appears today, taking on a variety of services. Follow the Liesingbach river, cross bridges, pass lakes - enjoy scenic mountain and forest views as you travel across Austria.
On this route you will take control of the ÖBB Class 1116 locomotive. Based on the Eurosprinter ES 65 U2, this popular electric can be used on Rudolfsbahn for both freight and passenger services. With appropriate rolling stock included for each type of service. There are five Career scenarios included with varying levels of challenge, as well as Quick Drive from key points along the route.
