TS Marketplace: Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01
Take the throttle and lug Northern Pacific and successor Burlington Northern freight tonnage over historic Bozeman Pass and across the “Big Sky Country” of Montana – with Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01 from High Iron Simulations!
The acclaimed Bozeman Pass route for Train Simulator Classic re-creates the rugged Northern Pacific main line extending from Livingston to Trident and Three Forks, Montana. In 1970, the Northern Pacific combined with Great Northern, Burlington Route, and Spokane, Portland & Seattle to form the 23,000-mile Burlington Northern.
Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01, with ten new and authentic career scenarios, brings dynamic freight railroading to life, from the final glory days of Northern Pacific’s independent operations during the late 1960s right through the early 1970s and the operations of newly formed giant Burlington Northern.
With Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01, you’ll tackle manifest freight, unit train, local, and switching operations, and you’ll take the controls of five diverse types of Electro-Motive diesel power (as appropriate in Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern liveries), including the landmark FT, versatile GP9, long-serving SW1200, stylish GP30, and potent SD45.
The Bozeman Pass route for Train Simulator Classic features both rugged, twisting 1.8 percent mountain grades and open-country mile-a-minute running, and with Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01, you will:
- In a multi-part scenario, climb into the cab of a burly Northern Pacific Electro-Motive SD45 on the point of a heavy westbound grain train making its way up and over the tough grades of Bozeman Pass. Once beyond the pass, you’ll then hustle the full length of the route to Trident.
- At Three Forks, step aboard a classic A-B-B-A set of legendary Electro-Motive FT diesels to work an eastbound Northern Pacific manifest freight coming off the Butte line.
- Take the throttle of a Burlington Northern Electro-Motive GP30 as the stylish diesel leads the way on hotshot Pasco-Chicago BN time freight No. 86 making the eastbound climb and descent of Bozeman Pass.
- Face the challenges of working local freight service as, in a pair of realistic scenarios, you call upon Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern EMD GP9s to handle a variety of switching and line-haul tasks.
- Experience the helper operations that were a long-time staple on Bozeman Pass. You’ll have the choice of riding the rear helpers or working from the head-end of NP Train 607 as it wends its way up wintry Bozeman Pass with Northern Pacific GP9s front and rear.
- Equipped with a mixed lash-up of Burlington Northern EMD GP30 and GP9 diesels, serve as engineer of a westbound freight as it handles various set-out and pick-up work on its journey across Montana.
- Handle switching, set-out, and delivery chores aboard a veteran Burlington Northern Electro-Motive SW1200 diesel switcher, working amid the spiderweb of industrial and secondary trackage at the town of Bozeman.
- At the controls of a lash-up of potent Burlington Northern EMD SD45s totaling 10,800 horsepower, make a fast-paced nocturnal run across the route’s west-end countryside.
Note: For full use, this scenario pack requires only the Train Simulator Classic Bozeman Pass: Livingston - Three Forks & Trident route.
The ten career scenarios of Bozeman Pass Scenario Pack 01, based closely on actual railroad operations and train symbols, re-create both the Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern eras and delivers tradition-rich and challenging American West rugged mountain railroading.
