Playtest campaigns are open to both accredited and unaccredited creators. As a reward for completing the playtest succesfully, you will receive a full retail key of the game.

Requirements:

1. Set your Steam profile to Public*
2. Play Frontiers Reach for 1 hour
3. Complete the playtest questionnaire: https://app.playtester.net/anp/frontiersreach/playtest/frontiersreach

*Without your Steam profile set to Public, you won't be able to claim a playtest key as we'll need it to verify your playtime

You are allowed to stream and publish videos for this campaign. Playtesting campaigns are open to channels of any size, and may be best for smaller or newer channels.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your coverage score will be lowered for not successfully completing the requirements.

About the Game

Frontiers Reach is a mission based, story driven, sim-lite space and atmospheric combat game with a retro-aesthetic where you strap into the cockpit of a retro-futuristic starfighter from an alternate universe where humanity took a different path to the stars after the end of World War 2.

Though heavily inspired by aviation and aerospace design from the mid 20th century, everything has been designed with an other worldly experience in mind.

Fight through the ravages of an interstellar war across 32 story missions, 15 side missions, and a dynamic war map with over 2,000 possible scenario variations!

It is the year 2230.

The Golden Age of Exploration is over. After nearly 100 years of expansion and colonization in space, the human species stands on the brink of war. On one side is the corrupt and aging Sol Confederacy. On the other is the fledgling, Frontier Republic. Neither one is willing to compromise and the coming war will see entire worlds decimated for it.

But way on the fringes of colonized space. On a lonely moon called Frontiers Reach. Captain Anya Zuban and First Mate Rhen Malavik are prepping their vessel, the Heliosiren, to ferry a group of survivors deep into uncharted space to escape the coming war.

Do you have what it takes?

That is what you should ask yourself before you strap in. The fighters you'll have access to are old work horses of the frontier. Many of them brought out during the golden age. Your opponent, the Sol Confederacy, is technologically superior in every way. Whether you're dogfighting or barnstorming through tunnels, it will require creativity and risk taking to beat them back from the frontier worlds.

Built with the cockpit in mind!

At first glance Frontiers Reach might look like another action oriented arcade flight game, but it really is much more than this. While you can play with a mouse and keyboard and controller support is partially enabled, the real experience is in the cockpit with support for HOTAS, rudder pedals, and TrackIR.

Participate in a war across the stars!

After completing the first act, of which contains 25 missions, you'll get to participate in The War for the Frontier which takes place across 30+ locations in space and on planets. Each planetary location is unique and provides space for you to challenge your skills as a pilot and when a location has missions available those missions vary in a number of ways. Some will have you supporting friendlies in combat and others will have you diving into enemy territory to strike critical targets with just you and your wingmen.

Each fighter is a retro-futuristic space hotrod!

And you can customize quite a bit of it. From the paint job, to the logos, the weapons, and even the modules. You can even save out the paint jobs and loadouts to share with friends.
